Outline

I need to work on my outline because I don't want to get behind. If I spend too much time trying to find new questions and add to my notes I'll get behind on my outline. I need to finish putting what I already have of my notes into my outline. I would like to get my paper done as well but not sure if thats the best idea. Ms. King stated not to turn in a paper unless its great quality. Because I know I'm not done finding all of my questions, the essay won't sound the way I wanted it to. I can always add to my essay during my break and next trimester when we come back from break. As of now I'm going to do what I can, and then I'll go from there.

Outline and Notes

I was having trouble finding more information about the Chinese method as well as their embalming process. Ms. King was kind enough to send me some links to some good articles. I have been working on my Outline as well as adding to my notes. I would have just decided to work strictly on finishing my notes but did not want to get behind. The only thing I'm worried about at this point is the paper. Being that I'm working on my notes and my outline, I worry if I will be able to turn in a paper. I have taken out questions because the questions were not broad enough. There was information but not enough for three paragraphs worth, and most most of the information was repetitive. So I decided to just get rid of couple of questions, and hopefully will be able to come up with new questions. As of now I'm doing my outline with the notes that I already do have, and hopefully next year I'll be able to add to my Essay as well as the outline.

Note Taking

Today I'm continuing my note taking. I also spoke with Sandi and we our discussing a date and time to meet next week. I'm really excited to meet with her and be able to talk to her about the mummified boy that's been found. She will also be helping me make my own mummified pigs. The idea is to create a mummy created Egyptian style and a mummy created Chinese style. I also told her if she has any suggestions about materials that we can use for the mummification and elbalming process to notify me.

Notes/Works Cited Page

Today I finished my works cited page. Then after I finished I continued to work on my note taking. I did manage to get started on my interview paper that I must fill out as a record of who I will be conducting my interview with. Hopefully I will be done with that by Friday, if not I will have it done over the weekend.

Works Cited Page

Today I will be working on my works cited page. I really haft to remember to start blogging everyday. Usually what I do is come into class and just get right to work because I already know what I haft to do for the week. I have been working on notes pretty much all of this week so I guess I wouldn't have much to blog about besides saying that I will continue to do note taking. But today I remembered to blog because were starting our works cited page, so usually when I get a new assignment I remember to blog for the first few days to keep it updated. But I forget to sometimes when were working on an assignment for a longer time period (notes for example). My works cited page should not take me long because I did everything I was suppose to do in my webliography. I will probably be adding more sources to my works cited page. I realized that a lot of the information for some of my sources is repetitive. So I think I'll be looking for a couple new sources that might have some information that I don't already have. The sources that I documented notes from will definitely be used in the paper. The one's that are not documented in my notes yet I either didn't get to or have decided not to use it.

Today we have a note check, and I think we will be continuing our notes. I still have a few more sources left to put into my notes.

Today I took notes. I think the note check is on friday so I should be half way done with my notes by then. Hopefully I'll be half way done because I dont want to get behind. So far I've been keeping up with the assignments.

Last Friday I was able to finish my proposal. So today will be a note taking day for me. I still have not heard back from the Carnegie Museum. If I don't hear back soon I'll probably try calling them to see if I can get in touch with someone there who might have some information.

Proposal

Today I will be working on my proposal. I think I skipped a day or two of blogging because I've been so wrapped up in my work I had forgotten about it. I think I have figured out my action plan which is to make a mummified pig or cat on my own with the supervision of my science teacher. I like the idea but I still like the idea of going on an actual excavation and being up close with an actual mummy. I think what I'll do is try and get in contact with someone at the Carnegie Museum and see if they can give me any information. I don't want to really go into my proposal until I know for sure what it is that I want to do for my action plan.

Proposal

Today I will begin working on my proposal for the first half of class. Then I will continue my note taking for the second half. I'm not for certain exactly what I'm going to do for my tangible product. When I met with Ms. King I got a few idea's but not for sure which one to go with. I would like to go on a dig and have it captured on film but I'm not sure of all the necessary steps I would have to go through. And trying to think months in advance can sometimes be complicated because you never know what set backs may occur.

Today I will contine dot jot note taking. Tomorrow we start our collages so I'm going to try to get as much as I can done today. I finished two articles so far and I'm going to be moving on to my 3 one.

Today I will begin Note Taking. I finshed my webliography on time as planned so I'm able to move on to the next assignment. I will begin looking through the articles I already printed out and read through them. As I'm reading through I will highlight information that answers my essential and foundation questions. Then I will put the information in my Notes documents.

Today I will be finishing up my webliography. I only had two more articles to find which should not take me very long to do. So today I will finish my webliography and print out the articles.

Today I will continue my webliography, I only need a few more sources and I'll be done. I should definitely get done by Thursday. I was able to get a lot of work done since I did not go on the New York trip. I really enjoyed going to Phibbs Conservatory and learning about the chocolate.

Today I'll be continuing my webliography. I'm pretty much half way done with it so hopefully I should be done with it by the end of this week. It's getting a little bit tricky trying to find resources that answer specific questions. Most of the resources repeat information that I really dont need, just basic information. I guess I'll haft to really dig deep and see what I can find. I expected there to be a lot more information about this stuff.

Today I will continue to work on my Webliography. I was able to get a pretty good start on it Friday being that I already had a few websites picked out. I will continue searching, printing, and completing my webliography.

Yesterday I was not able to blog because the internet was acting up. But I did manage to get most of my Essential and Foundation Questions. I did not finish because I got stuck and did not know what other questions to come up with. But I did upload what I had done, and hopefully while I'm finding articles I will find some questions I had not thought of. I already have a few articles printed out in my folder that I would like to use for sure. Today I will start my webliography and finish up on my Essential/Foundation question later. Essential and Foundation questions

I have been thinking about some questions for my graduation project. My project is more of a compare and contrast between the two mummification methods. My topic question is "Why is mummification so important and what types of methods are there?" I'm not for sure if that is going to be the exact question, but I will try to make it blend together into one question.

Key Terms

Today I worked on finding some important key terms. We needed a total of 10 terms so I did my research and picked what I thought were the most important. I also picked words that are usually mentioned frequently when talking about mummification.

My Topic

So I decided to go with Egyptology as my topic for my graduation project. I have also had an interest in their mummification process because Egypt is known best for just that. But what I'm planning on doing for my expertise is comparing/contrasting the embalming process for mummification in Egypt as well as in China. China's embalming process is actually way more impressing than Egypt's embalming process. Egypts mummies sort of look like just bones, but in China they know how to actually preserve skin, hair, even the tongue. I've been looking into resources and just researching information. I'm still a little shaky on what I could do as my action plan but hopefully I'll think of something. I actually found an Egyptian recipe I might like to make but I dont think it would be relevant to my topic.

Grad Project Idea's

I'm not for sure exactly what I want to do for my graduation project. I have some topics in mind but not sure what would be the best route for me to go. I have always had a passion about wanting to help others less fortunate (starving kids in Africa, the homeless, those suffering from illness's, etc.). But I feel like I should do something that I'm really really interested in such as Egyptology. I think both would be very good projects but I'm stuck. I'm starting to lean more towards doing something on Egyptology, but I still like the idea of doing something about those less forunate. Hopefully I know for sure by friday.
